With the recent release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players are getting a chance to jump back into the region of Sinnoh and are once again trying to “catch ’em all.” Once you do get your hands on these Pokémon, that is only half the battle with the other half being… well, the battles themselves. When you get into a Pokémon battle, it is important to know the weaknesses of your Pokémon. One of these Pokémon that you will need to know these stats for is Heracross. Luckily, I can clear up how these stats work and which ones you need to pay attention to. This guide will tell you what Heracross’ Weakness is in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Heracross’ Weaknesses in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Heracross is a Bug and Fighting type Pokémon, thus making it weak to four different types. Those types are Flying, Fire, Psychic, and Fairy, with flying being the one that is most effective against Heracross. This is due to both Bug and Fighting types being weak to Flying types, with it coming out to do double damage to both Bug and Fighting types. This combo then compounds to be a devastating weakness for Heracross. Flying types will do four times the damage as regular attacks, with the other three weaknesses coming out to two times the regular damage.

Knowing this means that we can also find Heracross’ strengths. While it isn’t immune to any type of attack, it is strong against its own type of Fighting and Bug as well as Dark, Grass, and Ground types. These types will do half damage against Haracross, so it is important that you know not to use it against these types of Pokémon.
Both Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available now on the Nintendo Switch.
