Other Releases Following Pokemon Evolutions
This is not the first series that Pokemon has released this year. Pokemon Generations was a series of three to five-minute shorts. These shorts debuted on Youtube in 2016, but recently more episodes were released on the platform. Pokemon Generations covered the people-Pokemon relationships in stories from the first six generations of the Pokemon games.
Along with these releases, 2013’s Pokemon: The Origin was another popular series within the franchise. The four-episode television anime told the story of the original first-generation trainers, Red and Blue.
Moving away from television, the Pokemon franchise is currently looking towards two game releases in the future. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is looking towards a January 28 release and takes place in the Sinnoh region. The gameplay involves you surveying, catching, and researching the Pokemon in the region, rather than catching and trying to become the champion. On the other hand, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/ Shining Pearl is looking at a November 19 release. These titles are remakes of the fan-favorite titles Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl.
