Pokemon GO celebrated its 7th anniversary in early July 2023, and while many might’ve missed it, there’s already a new event to keep players hooked. Niantic has announced the new Glittering Garden event in Pokemon GO. In this limited-time event, Grass-type pokemon will take the spotlight. If you don’t have enough Pokemon of this type, now’s your chance to fill your Pokedex and maybe get a shiny pocket monster while the event lasts.

A magical time awaits!

Ready to frolic and play, some Grass-type and Fairy-type Pokémon appearing at the #PokemonGOFest events in Osaka and London will also appear globally during the Glittering Garden event from August 5 to August 8, 2023.

The event will start on Saturday, August 5, 2023, and last until Tuesday, August 8, 2023. During this period, the odds of finding a Petilil shiny will be higher, along with other Pokémon such as:

  • Bulbasaur
  • Jigglypuff
  • Oddish
  • Hoppip
  • Seedot
  • Cacnea
  • Petilil
  • Ferroseed
  • Spritzee
  • Swirlix
  • Dedenne

There will also be temporary research tasks that will task trainers with exploring and hatching eggs. These are the creatures that can hatch during the Glittering Garden event of Pokemon GO:

  • Budew
  • Cherubi
  • Sewaddle
  • Petilil
  • Bounsweet
  • Larvesta

Besides that, certain pokemon can appear in different days of the week; here’s the list of days when you might find certain Grass-type pokemon:

  • August 5 – Petilil
  • August 6th – Cacnea
  • August 7th – Oddish
  • August 8th – Seedot

If that wasn’t enough, the Pokemon GO Glittering Garden Event will have the following bonuses:

  • 1/2 distance to earn hearts with your buddy pokemon.
  • Increased chance of earning Candy XL when walking with your buddy pokemon.
  • 1.5× Candy for hatching pokemon.
  • 1.5× Stardust for hatching pokemon.
  • Players can get Tangela, Roselia, Petilil, and Foongus in the field research tasks. All are fantastic creatures perfect for competitive activities or normal PvE content.
