While most of the time, you’ll encounter the regular, non-Shiny version of a Pokémon, now and then, you’ll be lucky enough to find a rare Shiny. A Shiny Pokémon is a specific Pokémon with different coloration than usual, and finding one is a cause for celebration for any Trainer. For some of the newer Pokémon releases, Niantic has given us a heads-up about which Pokémon will have a Shiny form available from specific in-game events. However, for the most part, it’s still a game of chance as to whether you’ll encounter a Shiny Pokémon in the wild. This guide will examine how to get Shiny Mega Gengar in Pokemon Go.

What is a Shiny Mega Gengar in Pokémon Go?

Purrloin, Haunter, and Misdreavus have been the Pokemon Go Spotlight Pokemons Held on October 11, 2022. During that time, players had a chance to encounter Shiny Haunter, which can evolve into Shiny Mega Gengar. While this may be the first time players have seen this shiny form in Pokemon Go, it’s not the rarest Shiny Pokemon in the game. Several shinies are far more difficult to find. However, what makes Shiny Mega Gengar so special is its unique coloration. While most shinies are simply different shades of the same color, Shiny Mega Gengar is a pure white version of the Pokemon. This makes it an instant favorite for collectors and fans of the franchise. So if you’re lucky enough to encounter one during the Spotlight hours, catch it!
