Trainers can finally add Kecleon into the Pokedex, as the mysterious color-changing Pokemon has found its way into the game. Nobody knows how he got there, but after his first appearance in Pokemon Ruby and Saphire, years of waiting have finally paid off. However, spotting it and catching it is not easy, but we are here to help you. This guide will show you how to catch Kecleon in Pokemon Go.
How to Catch Kecleon in Pokemon Go?
Kecleon has made its debut in Pokemon Go as a part of the January 2023 Chespin Community Day event. The elusive Pokemon has made an unexpected game debut and brought a new catching mechanic.
Once the Chespin Community Day ends on January 7 at 5 PM local time, Kecleon will start appearing at random PokeStops. Since it is fairly invisible, interact with as many PokeStops as possible. Kecleon will be hanging onto the PokeStop Disc, and you won’t be able to spin it. If you don’t find Kecleon immediately, wander around and try as many PokeStops as possible. Once he disappears from Poke Stop, you will be able to catch Kecleon in Pokemon Go.
When you interact with PokeStop Disc, you will receive a message telling you that an invisible object is preventing it from spinning.
This invisible object is Kecleon. However, there is only one visible spot of Kecleon. It is his signature red stripe. Start tapping on it until Kecleon disappears from the PokeStop.
Exit the PokeStop, and you will encounter Kecleon in the Pokemon Go overworld. This is the only way to catch Kecleon in Pokemon Go, for now.
Since Kecleon appeared in Pokemon Go by surprise, there is no information about his prolonged stay. There is a huge chance this is only a one-time appearance, so prepare yourself the best you know for this action. We can only tell you to use Ultra Balls, Pinap Berries, and landing Excellent Curveball Throws.
Pokemon Go is available on iOS and Android.
