You don’t become a master Trainer in Pokemon Go by simply catching all the pocket monsters you can. You should also look the part. Thankfully, active Pokemon Go promo codes can earn you a variety of goodies from items that can make catching Pokemon easier to items that make your avatar look like a world-class Trainer. All that’s needed from you is to redeem them before they disappear. So, let’s hunt down all the working promo codes and see what new freebies we can enjoy.

The amount of working Pokemon Go codes fluctuates all the time. Because of that, if you want to discover any free items, you must redeem them as soon as you see them. Currently, I’ve only successfully redeemed one public code and one code you need an Amazon Prime Gaming account to access:

As I mentioned, you can also get a code through Prime Gaming. You can check out Pokemon Go’s page on the website to see about their current offers.

Although previously able to redeem free Pokemon Go codes through the app, Android users recently joined iOS users in that codes can only be redeemed at the online store. Follow the steps below to gain your freebies:

  1. Go to the official Pokemon Go store website and log into your account
  2. Select “Offer Redemption” at the top
  3. Type or paste the code into the text box below “Enter offer code”
  4. Return to the app to access your new rewards

Issues With Redeeming Codes

The main issue you will run into trying to redeem promo codes for Pokemon Go is if they already expired. Codes have a shelf life that we unfortunately don’t always see. Amazon Prime Gaming usually indicates how long their codes will last, but codes directly from Niantic don’t typically have an expiration date. So, the best thing you can do is redeem whatever you see ASAP.

Additionally, there’s a chance for misspelling of codes too. If you want to ensure everything’s correct, consider copy-paste.

Now that you know how to redeem Pokemon Go promo codes, you should jump on any you find. If not for the free items that can help your beloved pocket monsters, do it for the cool gear you can get for your avatar.

Pokemon Go is available on iOS and Android.
