Pokémon Legends Arceus Evolve Quilfish
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Qwilfish, also known as the Hisuian Qwilfish in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is a Dark and Poison-Type Pokémon that evolves into Overqwil once it uses a specific Move Style a certain number of times. Since Qwilfish reside within the waters of the Cobalt Coastlands, Trainers will need the Basculegion Mount to traverse the sea to catch them. Two ideal spots to encounter these Pokémon are near the coasts of Lunker’s Lair and Tranquility Cove. The best way to capture a Hisuian Qwilfish is by jumping in the air while throwing a Poké Ball to slow down time, providing an opportunity to land the throw.

Hisuian Quilfish Evolution Guide

Once Trainers have caught Qwilfish in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they can resume the steps to evolve it into Overqwil. Hisuian Qwilfish’s evolution will occur once it has used the Strong Style of the Move “Barb Barrage” 20 times in combat. Consequently, Qwilfish must be at least Level 15 to know the Move and Level 25 to master its Styles.

Hisuian Qwilfish will likely know Barb Barrage when the players catch it. Thus, the goal is to master its Move in combat. While it is possible to grind a few battles with Qwilfish, players can accomplish the mastery process instantly by feeding the Pokémon a Seed of Mastery. Seeds of Mastery are rare consumables that immediately allow a Pokémon to master a Move.

Once Qwilfish has unlocked the Strong and Agile Style of Barb Barrage, players can use the Strong Style 20 times to have it evolve into Overqwil in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. As there’s no level requirement for this process, Trainers can have their Qwilfish battle lower-level enemies in the earlier regions of the game for quicker results. Once the prerequisite has been met, players can open the Pokémon menu and evolve their Hisuian Qwilfish.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available on Nintendo Switch.
