Crunchy Salt is an ingredient in Pokémon Legends: Arceus used to complete quests and craft various recipes. One particular Request that requires Crunchy Salt is Request 61: “Even More New Wares.” Choy wishes to convince Tao Hua to offer more goods for sale at the Jubilife Village’s General Store, but he asks that the player first procure Crunchy Salt ×3 to persuade his supervisor.
This quest will only become available once Trainers have completed Choy’s previous two Requests, “Getting Ahold of New Wares” and “More New Wares.” Once players successfully deliver the Crunchy Salt, the Arceus store will be updated with new Wing Balls, Leaden Balls, Max Potions, and Bean Cakes.
Crunchy Salt Location in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The best location to find Crunchy Salt in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is the Coronet Highlands. More specifically, players can find several spawn nodes of Crunchy Salt within the Bolderoll Ravine, along the Celestica Trail, and west of the Clamberclaw Cliffs. While several clusters are on the ground, Trainers may need Sneasler to reach the Crunchy Salt along the cliffside.
Alternatively, players can obtain Crunchy Salt when catching specific Pokémon, including Swinub, Piloswine, Gible, and Gligar. Ursaluna is also able to occasionally find Crunchy Salt buried in the ground. Still, searching in the Coronet Highlands is the most reliable method of procuring the ingredient.
Once players have collected Crunchy Salt ×3, they can return to Tao Hua in the Galaxy Hall’s Basement to complete Request 61. As mentioned above, Crunchy Salt is also used in crafting recipes, specifically Salt Cake and Twice-Spiced Radish. Salt Cake is made using Crunchy Salt ×1 and Cake-Lure Base ×1 and helps attract Pokémon that resemble grass, plants, or minerals. Twice-Spiced Radish requires Crunchy Salt ×1, Sand Radish ×2, Plump Beans ×2, and King’s Leaf ×2. Feeding Twice-Spiced Radish to a Pokémon will boost its Move power by 50%.
