Wattrel, is your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet homage to James Watt, or not? Wattrel and its evolution Kilowattrel is an Electric/Flying-type Pokemon and, as such, is pretty strong and fast. All Wattrel Weaknesses and Counters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Wattrel belongs to one of the most powerful types of Pokemon in the entire franchise. This makes him extremely tough to beat, as he doesn’t have too many weaknesses. In fact, Wattrel is weak to only two types of damage in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

  • Ice – 2x Weak
  • Rock – 2x Weak

Furthermore, its special attack makes him quite strong and can deal massive damage to you and your Pokemon. It is immune to Ground-type attacks, so you don’t have many options to counter this potent pocket creature.

Best Counters to Wattrel?

Now that you know all the important stuff about Wattrel, including its weakness and strong sides, it is time you learn how to counter this Flying/Electric-type Pokemon.

Since Wattrel weaknesses are Rock-type and Ice-type attacks, you will want to use Pokemon with these types of attacks to counter Wattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

However, these particular types are quite slow, and Wattrel boasts incredible speed. You see the problem here, don’t you? Your Ice or Rock-type Pokemon will struggle to outspeed Wattrel.

Nevertheless, you have a couple of options, and the best counter to Wattrel is Weavile, the Ice/Dark-type Pokemon.

On the other hand, you can also use  Pokemon with a bigger health bar, such as Tyranitar, Crygonal, Garganacl, and Coalossal.
