Pokemon TCG Pocket was recently released promptly at the start of the holiday season, and it’s paying off exponentially. According to developer Appmagic, the new Pokemon game has already made $12 million in just four days since its release and even accumulated 10 million downloads within two days. This puts the Pokemon TCG Pocket average daily earnings at $3 million per day.

Granted, this was mostly an estimate from Appmagic, and it’s also worth noting that Pokemon TCG Pocket was released on a weekend. Appmagic hasn’t exactly released specific figures for the weekday, but it should undoubtedly be high as well considering the number of downloads.

Wow. Completely awestruck here. 😳

Thank you to everyone who helped #PokemonTCGPocket reach over 10 million downloads! We're incredibly grateful and hope everyone continues to enjoy the game. There are more great things to come!

Pokemon TCG Pocket has already dominated major download charts globally soon after its release on October 30, 2024. To put things into perspective, Pokemon Go, the other most popular Pokemon game currently earns $1 million per day.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is Now More Profitable than Pokemon Go

Right now, Pokemon TCG Pocket has dethroned Pokémon Go on the mobile platform. Apparently, 45 percent of the $3 million per day earned by Pokémon TCG Pocket came from Japan. The US players come in second at 25 percent, which is still quite a huge gap.

For the uninitiated, Pokemon TCG Pocket is a simplified digital version of the long-running Pokemon TCG. Players can collect rare Pokemon cards and battle it out strategically with other players. Pokemon TCG Pocket removes some of the higher barriers of the physical trading card game by simplifying the energy system. The game also makes it so you can play with just about everyone without physically meeting up.

Players can also purchase digital booster packs to get a chance to win some rare and sought-after Pokemon cards to add to their deck. The catch is that you only own these cards digitally and you lose them if ever the game shuts down. That, however, doesn’t seem to be an issue for many.
