Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s divorce rumors resurface in full force as the Duke embarks on a solo visit to New York. The Duke of Sussex geared off his week-long stay in NYC this week, attending several engagements that honor causes dear to his heart while promoting his and Meghan’s joint philanthropic projects. So far, the 40-year-old has attended the Diana Awards where he discussed mental health, family, and the dangers of social media. He also participated in events hosted by The Halo Trust, Travalyst, and African Parks among other activities lined up for the Climate Week.
Despite going solo to these New York engagements, Prince Harry appeared significantly in his elements, more relaxed than he’s ever been in his years of having Meghan tag along according to royal observers. Royal Journalist Sarah-Louise Robertson discussed the implication of this vast mood transformation, deeming it an obvious signal Harry and Meghan had “divorce” on the plates. She divulged,
“I’m concerned, eight days away from Meghan Markle’s grass or class, wherever you want to call it, that to me is this signal. It’s just a hop, skip, and jump to Splitsville. As far as I’m concerned, I think the writing’s on the wall.”
Prince Harry Acted More Like Himself in New York
Buttressing her point, Sarah-Louis doubled down on the claims that Prince Harry looked a lot happier in New York than he had been in years. Like many, she attributed this attitudinal shift to Meghan’s absence, implying he acted less human around his wife. She shared,
“He didn’t look very happy when he was on that supposed tour in Colombia. People have said he looked a bit happier when he was in New York. He was a bit more human? He was humanized on this New York trip.”

Prince Harry Sheds Wife Meghan Markle to Prove He’s Still Relevant: ‘That’s a Fast-Depleting Factor’Aside from putting on a more cheerful front, the royal journalist noted that Prince Harry has noticeably made no fuss about his security or “being hounded by the paparazzi” as he did last year when Meghan Markle accompanied him on his New York trip. As royal fans may recall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 2023 visit to NYC sparked controversy following a near-catastrophic car chase by relentless paps.
The Sussexes claimed the chase endangered them, likening it to the infamous paparazzi chase that claimed the life of Harry’s late mom Princess Diana in 1997. This prompted NYC authorities to tender an apology to Harry and Meghan, pledging to offer tighter security and better measures in place on subsequent visits. Perhaps that explains the less chaotic trip this time, unless indeed the divorce rumors have some truth.
