Those concerned about the royal marriage between the future King and Queen of England did question why they weren’t together for such a pivotal moment. Some speculated that Prince William was there but did not appear on camera. The Times was the first outlet to confirm that Prince William was not there at the time the video was recorded.

Multiple sources agree that the Prince of Wales and the Princess of Wales are putting their three children’s feelings first. They want them to feel supported during this difficult family time. Kate hinted at this in her speech announcing her diagnosis and treatment.
It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay. As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.
