Whether you’re still in mid-game or just entering Roblox Type Soul’s endgame, you need to ask yourself if you’re truly prepared. Sure, you may have been able to coast on through early game, but that’s not going to fly anymore. How’s your build looking? Are your skills spread too thin? Is your race the best one for your playstyle? Do you even have any accessories? To set yourself up for success, there are a handful of pro tips you should be aware of in Type Soul as you segway into endgame content.

Switch To a Controller or Custom Mouse Profile

With the mix of races, Bankai, Shikai, and so on in Type Soul, you’ll eventually end up with abilities that are hotkeyed to every key on your number line, from 1 to the equal sign. That is a ridiculous set of skills to juggle on top of having to move around with WASD. If you had a third hand, it wouldn’t be an issue, but that’s not the world we live in.

Instead, consider switching to a controller or using a custom mouse profile to change up your keybindings. Your mouse should already have native software and maybe even a few extra buttons you can keybind some of your abilities to. It’s so much easier to play when skills are split between two hands rather than one. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but it totally pays off.

If, by chance, your mouse doesn’t have anything like that, Type Soul lets you adjust your keybinds in-game. It’s the Key button nestled in the top-left corner.

Your Playstyle Matters More Than Your Build in Type Soul

type soul pro tip: choose a build that fits your playstyle

If you hop on over to YouTube and search for the best builds in Type Soul, you’re going to be flooded with YouTubers telling you to use this or equip that. It’s not that the information is wrong—it usually isn’t—the problem is that most Type Soul YouTubers don’t take into account the player. Your build means squat if it doesn’t complement your playstyle:

  • Kido: You’re all about zoning your opponent with ranged abilities. Some abilities do have a relatively long charge up.
  • Healing: If you aren’t particularly skilled at combat, try a healing build and support your obviously better teammates.
  • Hakuda: The kind of build you want if you love getting up close and personal and stringing together combos.
  • Kendo/Speed: Think of Kendo and Speed builds as a mix of Hakuda and Kido; in fact, players often mix Kendo and Speed for hybrid builds.

Since most builds are balanced for the most part, you really don’t have to stress out about using the best build. Just focus on a playstyle that works and then focus on tweaking that build with the ideal weapons and accessories. And if you make a mistake, you can always use a Blue Pill to respec, which you can get from winning raids.

Don’t Forget About Accessories

Speaking of accessories, there are over 40 in Type Soul, but only about half are of actual use; the rest are merely cosmetic, like most of the Clan-only accessories. Mythical and Legendary accessories can offer really good stat bonuses, like Cat Ears, the Saunder Cloak, and the Kisuke Robe. You might get more HP, defense bonus, and even more Reiatsu.

However, the best accessories in Type Soul tend to be locked behind raids, though you can also get some at the KT Shop. When you’re fleshing out your final build, you want to be raiding as often as possible. There are two types of raids: Faction and Karakura raids. Faction raids happen every 40 minutes (and you’ll be notified when one is about to start) while Karakura raids happen every hour.

Record Your Gameplay and Rewatch It

Roblox Type Soul is a very competitive game by nature, and in the heat of the moment, you might blame your defeat on a broken build or some other excuse. Sometimes that is definitely the case (I’m looking at you Quincies!), but for the most part, it’s a skill issue. If you were to record your gameplay and rewatch it after the dust settles, you’ll find moments where you zigged instead of zagged.

To get better in Type Soul, you have to be able to disconnect from your character to analyze movements. Just think of it as someone else’s clip montage. And I don’t mean analyzing your loses but wins as well. You can glean just as much information from what worked as you can from what doesn’t. Whenever you rewatch clips, ask yourself this central question: Why could I have done better?

Additionally, recording gameplay is also great for analyzing how others play, the strengths and weaknesses of builds, and playstyles.

Find a Friend to Practice With in Roblox Type Soul

pro tip: find friends to play with

On that same note, you really want to find other players to practice with, too, especially as you start to do endgame content in Type Soul. The odds of you being attacked in the wild are pretty high, even if you don’t feel like fighting. And yes, griefing is most definitely a problem, as is any game with nearly unrestricted PVP. You can either deal with it or find a friend to spar with; in fact, the more the merrier because more often than not you’ll find yourself fighting more than one player.

Put simply: it’s a lot easier to understand the mechanics of the game when you aren’t dealing with toxic players. There’s room for error, which is especially helpful when you’re trying to learn how to dodge effectively and parry attacks. More importantly, you’ve got a friend to watch your six if and when you’re both out in the wild.
