The day has finally arrived. Dreams will receive support for the PlayStation VR in an upcoming update.
Even from the beginning of when it was announced, Media Molecule hinted at the possibility of the creativity game including virtual reality support. The PSVR update is coming in an update on July 22nd.
The free update will not only include VR support, but also new tutorials, how-tos and creative kits on how to build new games with PSVR. The update also comes with new content created by Media Molecule to play in virtual reality.
The new tutorials will help you understand the new functions that you can use when creating virtual reality games. The Create Mode now allows you to even sculpt objects in VR. One thing to note is that you do not have to don your VR headset to create in VR.
For this new update, Media Molecule has created a variety of games to check out the different ways to create in VR. One of the games is a shooting game, while another is a VR look through a gallery of sculpted objects.
Create and Play Your Own Games in VR
For those creating in Dreams, you will be able to specify if the content is playable in VR or not. It also will include a comfort rating to help judge if a game will make you sick or not. This is an interesting way to create virtual reality experiences, as even professional developers have trouble making games that are comfortable for players to enjoy in VR.
Even if you do not have a PSVR headset, there still more updates coming to Dreams. A wide range of new accessibility features and gadgets will help make playing and creating more fun.
