Airplane dramas are a dime a dozen these days, and there’s something about airplanes that makes people act weird or bring out the worst in them. Case in point is how an allegedly racist male Karen on a Breeze Airways flight tried to ruin everyone’s day in Grand Junction, Colorado. Thankfully, a good Samaritan volunteered to put him back in his seat, and he happened to be a black man who basically picked the male Karen up like a toddler so the flight attendant could restrain him.
The incident occurred on August 13 during Breeze Airways’ #MX704 flight from Virginia to Los Angeles. The plane then had to stop in Grand Junction, Colorado; apparently, the male Karen was causing problems and starting fights on the plane. The man also allegedly yelled racial slurs while waving around a skateboard. As you can see in the video, a flight attendant was trying to put restraints on the supposedly drunk troublemaker when he stood up and refused to be restrained.
The flight attendant then asked anyone on the plane to help her, and thankfully, one of the bigger passengers volunteered. The Black Samaritan stood up, picked the male Karen by the armpits like a toddler, and seated him back. However, it appears the male Karen managed to break free several times. Eventually, he was picked up by Colorado law enforcement and taken to jail.
It’s not clear yet what charges the male Karen is facing, but investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, the delayed flight managed to move on, with passengers finally arriving at Los Angeles around 7:15 PM.
Alcohol and Airplanes Don’t Mix Well
People online have since chimed in on the matter, and many were praising the Black Breeze Airways passenger for helping the flight attendant restrain the drunken troublemaker. Some even surmised that the male Karen was picking his fights strategically (even while drunk) with the female flight attendants after seeing his scared face when confronted by the bigger man:

Some found it funny how the bigger Black man picked up the male Karen, treating him like an unruly child, with the troublemaker somewhat accepting his helpless fate. It’s not clear whether he still broke out after this humiliating restraint attempt, but seeing as he was standing and still causing trouble when the cops arrived, he probably didn’t learn his lesson the first time.
