Ratchet and Clank servers will be discontinued as of February 15, 2018. The multiplayer and online features will be unavailable after this date. This comes to no surprise as the PS4 has sold over six million consoles since its release.
On the PlayStation website, the only information given is this:
“Online services for Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal PS3 and Ratchet: Deadlocked PS3, including multiplayer and other network features, will be discontinued as of February 15, 2018. Thanks for playing!”
Insomniac Games, the developers of Ratchet and Clank, played on the Arsenal multiplayer on PS3 yesterday for the last time.

Insomniac Games have been working on Marvel’s Spider-Man which is rumored to release on September 28, 2018. After overall good reviews for Spider-0man Homecoming, it is understandable that Insomniac want to concentrate on making the game as popular as the movie. The game will also come out a year later than the movie, which came out last year in July. As well as Marvel’s Spider-Man that they are working on, they already have a Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 to satisfy anyone who will want to play the classic game.
Ratchet and Clank servers are not the only one that will be closing down this year. Gran Turismo 6 online features will stop on March 28, 2018. While three more series’ are shutting down their online features as well. Killzone 2, Killzone 3, EyePet, EyePet Move Edition, EyePet & Friends, and finally, WipEout HD, WipEout HD Fury, and WipEout 2048 are all the titles that will be shutting down their online features on March 29, 2018. for the PS3.
