This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Now that Remnant 2 is out, players keep finding secret things in the game that will help them on their journey. One of the best things to discover in the game is secret classes. These classes, or archetypes, provide a different playstyle for solo and co-op players. One of the beefiest ones you can find in Remnant 2 is the Engineer class. This one will take some time to unlock, a bit of luck, and a specific class to make things easier. Today, we’ve prepared a guide to tell you how to unlock the Engineer archetype in Remnant 2.

Like many other things in the game, unlocking the Engineer class in Remnant 2 will require you to be in specific areas and head to certain locations. While almost everything is different for players, this secret class can be found in a few places. The exact location will vary, but it will always spawn on the world of N’Erud and the second biome, The Eon Vault or Timeless Horizon. If you are in any of these places, you can start looking for this class.

To find it, we recommend you equip the Explorer archetype to use its skill to find treasures. Doing so will mark treasures with a purple glow, making them easier to find. This is key as the item required for the Engineer archetype is beyond the fog. Those who’ve played in N’Erud know that walking through the fog will poison them for a bit. However, pushing through it and heading toward the treasure will allow you to spot the Engineer’s armor. If you move further from the armor set, you’ll find the Alien Device. This is the item you need to take to Wallace, which will be transformed into the Drzyr Caliper, unlocking the Engineer class for you.
