If only you could actually reset your stats with a memory-wiping potion. We’d take advantage of that in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, such bliss only exists in the world of video games and even then, they don’t seem to work all that well. More specifically, Palworld‘s Memory Wiping Medicine not only resets your status points, but also permanently removes your effigy. Plenty of players have been warning others against using it and urging them to wait for a patch. Fortunately, fans booted up the game to find that the patch had rolled out today.
Reset Your Stats or Permanently Remove Your Effigies?
Although a warning message would appear before players could start up Palworld, some still fell victim to the effigy removal bug. Lifmunk Effigies are collectible items that increase your capture rate, so it would be in your best interest to find a bunch of them. It takes a long time, so players were rightfully upset to find that all of their hard work was erased simply because they decided to reset their stats. As of patch update v0.12.4.0, it’s been resolved and players can reset their stats without fear.
Specifically, the patch notes released on the Steam page read: Fixed an issue where capture power strengthened by Lifmunk Effigies was reset when using memory reset drugs. Of course, other issues were addressed, including a major issue where the game would crash under certain conditions. However, the most disappointing was definitely this one. It’s on par with the Session Search Error that happened last month.
How to Craft Memory Wiping Medicine
To craft it, you’ll need the Electric Medicine Workbench and to be at least Level 43. It requires:
- 99x Beautiful Flowers
- 50x Horns
- 50x Bones
- 50x Pal Fluids
