RHONJ’s Dolores Catania has joined the list of celebrities that use Ozempic. The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star revealed this to Andy Cohen during the Watch What Happens Live show.
Why Is RHONJ’s Dolores Catania on Ozempic?
During a session on Watch What Happens Live, Cohen told the reality star that she looks slim and asked her if she is on Ozempic. The 52-year-old admitted that she is on the Ozempic drug. Then, Cohen joked about all the housewives being on the medication, and she reacted by saying she couldn’t come for the reunion looking fat, so she got on the drug.
When Cohen asked if she experienced side effects from the drug, the TV star said there were no side effects. She added that she does not experience any side effects apart from the drug making her feel like she is not hungry.
Ozempic is a brand name for semaglutide, which is commonly known as Wegovy and Mounjaro, which comes in injection form. The drug is an FDA-approved prescription medication intended for people with type-2 Diabetes. However, its use has become prevalent among celebrities. They use it to keep their weight in check because of its appetite-regulating impacts.
Research has shown that the prescription is safe for people with type-2 Diabetes and chronic obesity. Also, semaglutide has not been studied with subjects who only need it to lose 15-10 Ibs. Therefore, the long-term effects on people in that category are unknown.
Jackie Goldschneider Reveals She Is Not On Ozempic
While some of the housewives might be using the drug, an RHONJ co-star, Jackie Goldschneider, has dared to be different. She revealed on PageSix’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast in February that she is not on the list of housewives who use the drug.
The reality star added that she is shocked by the number of people that depend on that drug. “I can talk about Ozempic all day, it gets me so fired up.” The 46-year-old said stating her 18 years of eating disorders.
