Director Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) has taken to Twitter to announce the title of the next mystery in his Knives Out franchise. The next Benoit Blanc mystery will be called Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. According to the short video Johnson shared, which you can see below, this will be Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.” The film has a release date of 2025, and Daniel Craig will be returning as the southern master detective.
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Other than what Johnson has shared, we know very little about the upcoming film. The original Knives Out was released in 2019, while Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, was released in 2022. In 2021, Netflix bought the rights to Knives Out and two more sequels, so this film will assumedly mark the end of that deal. We don’t know anything about Wake Up Dead Man’s cast or story other than that Craig will be returning. As Johnson usually manages to draw in some A-list talent, you can probably get your hopes up for a stacked cast.

Netflix will probably put Wake Up Dead Man in theaters when it releases next year, as they did with Glass Onion. But we’ll know more once the movie begins filming.
