The stellar story of Nina the Starry Bride is coming to TV with the anime adaptation of her manga. The manga began publication in October 2019 in Kodansha’s Be Love magazine. Until now, the manga has 11 collected volumes and has had such an impact that it was recognized as one of the best by the Kodansha Manga Award. This is a pleasant surprise, and its news has come unexpectedly thanks to the opening of its new X account (formerly Twitter) and Nina’s official anime webpage. They have also revealed the character designs and even some new promotional artwork for Nina’s spectacular TV adventure.

Rikachi’s Nina the Starry Bride Manga Reveals the Cast for Its Anime Adaptation and a Teaser

Nina’s story is reminiscent of anime such as Candy Candy. Essentially, Nina had to steal to survive as a child. That’s until her brother sells her as a slave to a buyer known as Prince Azur. Nina poses as the substitute princess for the recently deceased princess, Alisha. The fun bit is that, despite Nina being expected to act like the now-gone princess, she won’t give up without a fight and won’t let go of her previous lifestyle so quickly. The teaser shows what the anime style will be like, and only the main characters appear. However, we have the list of voice actors for Nina the Starry Bride. These are the confirmed actors:

  • Nina – Minami Tanaka
  • Prince Azure – Yuichiro Umehara
  • Seto – Kouki Uchiyama

DMM Pictures will be the company in charge of making this project a reality as production as in other adaptations such as Fire Force, Rent-A-Girlfriend, or Ya Boy Kongming! So Nina the Starry Bride manga fans, can surely get a great anime adaptation. It’s still too early for more news, so we’ll have to wait to know more about the plot, the other characters, or the release date of this project, but we’ll be on the lookout for any changes.
