The second expansion for the wildly popular Risk of Rain 2 will allegedly be hitting your Steam library soon. Before the name was made known, it was listed on the Steam store as EXXXXXX-X as a placeholder. It provides a new story to the game and new Survivors, items, and four new environments to enjoy. A teaser trailer that gave players an exclusive look at what to expect from the expansion was shown off. Everything You Need To Know About Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm DLC

Specifically, Risk of Rain 2‘s Seekers of the Storm expansion launched on August 27, 2024.
The new Risk of Rain 2 expansion will take players to a new, undiscovered region. Here, players will visit the following environments:
- Treeborn Colony
- Reformed Altar
- Helminth Hatchery
- The Shattered Abodes
- Prime Meridian
- The sixth environment is still reportedly unknown, though it may be Verdant Falls
Similar to the previous expansion, Survivors of the Void, this expansion will also allow it so that only one player within a multiplayer lobby will need to have the expansion for everyone to be able to play it. Players will also be introduced to the False Son, the new antagonist. It will be their duty to defeat him and unlock the true power of his Soul.
