For fans of Roblox horror experiences like DOORS and Rooms comes a brand new game: Grace. Like those mentioned above, you’ll be tasked with journeying through various rooms while solving puzzles and evading monsters all within an ever-present time limit. Things can easily go from easy to stressful in seconds as the rooms become more and more difficult. Fortunately, I’ve rounded up just about everything there is to know about the Roblox game, including all the different monsters you can encounter and badges.

Getting Started Playing Grace

First things first, Grace favors those with fast reflexes. You’ll primarily be running at top speed through rooms, quickly trying to solve puzzles and get out as soon as you can. Considering that, the three most important things you need to focus on in every run are:

  • Movement.
  • Monsters.
  • Badges.

You can play with up to nine total people. However, I recommend playing a few times by yourself to get the hang of everything before jumping in with other players.

How to Play Grace

The following are all of the controls you need to know. You’ll learn them throughout the tutorial, but these are in case you need some brushing up:

  • Moving: W, A, S, D.
  • Jump: Space.
  • Crouch: Left Ctrl.
  • Open Doors: E.
  • Interact: F.
  • Equip Tool: Number keys.
  • Use Tool: Left mouse button.

Every Monster in Grace

There are a total of eight different monsters that you can encounter in Grace. I would consider them to be more like entities rather than monsters. You can’t attack them, but you can avoid them in hopes of being able to move further through the rooms. Sometimes, these monsters can appear together to hunt you down as a team. The monsters are all as follows:

Carnation

Carnation

The Carnation looks very much like a giant, pink and yellow eye that comes up from behind you. You can tell when it’s in the area because your screen will appear snowy for a moment, and pink tentacles will adorn the sides. To avoid it, you need to keep moving forward until you find a room you can crouch into. Then, when the Carnation passes you, you’ll be free to leave and keep going.

Slight

Slight

Slight looks like a large eye with a black and white swirl in the center. It appears before you, but you can tell when it’s nearby the blue aura it gives. To avoid it, you just need to walk past it without looking at it at all. Even after you pass it, do not turn around.

Slugfish

The Slugfish is another one that you can avoid by moving out of its way. Similar to the Carnation, you can tell when the Slugfish is nearby because of the white tentacles that adorn the sides of the screen. Just stand in the furthest corner of your room and watch it quickly rush past you.

Elkman

The Elkman is a bit strange. When you see it, it won’t make any attempt to attack or go near you. Instead, you need to turn back and go around the first wall or turn you find. The moment you do, you can turn back towards the Elkman to find that he’s disappeared.

Heed

Heed

Heed is incredibly similar to Slight, but instead of being a horizontal, black-and-white swirl, it’s a vertical, red-and-black swirl. Instead of avoiding it by looking away, look directly at Heed when walking past it. You’ll see it disappear once you exit the room, making it safe for you to turn around and keep going.

Sorrow

Sorrow - monsters

Sorrow is almost impossible to dodge. A large, black entity spews a red aura that takes out everything in its way. The only way to dodge it is to be under an archway, like a doorway or a crawlspace. After it attacks with a mighty roar, you can keep moving.

Dozer

Dozer can appear at any time and looks like a yellow smiley face. Whenever it does appear, you need to freeze and not move a muscle. It will be about a second or two before the smiley face disappears, and you can move again.

Goatman

Lastly is the Goatman. The only way to avoid being attacked by him is to avoid being late to the safe zone and arrive before the time runs out.
