As if school wasn’t a nightmare already, Roblox Terminal Escape Room went ahead and built an entire chapter around it called Detention. This being a Rapid Room, you have a much tighter deadline for completing the escape room. That means you don’t have nearly as much time to dilly-dally, so put on your thinking cap. Better yet, use my walkthrough to help you get through Roblox Terminal Escape Room: Detention as quickly as possible!
Principal Potato’s Room Puzzle Solution
First up on the list is gaining access to Principal Potato’s room, Room 123. It’s locked behind a 4-digit passcode. Luckily, it’s the same for everyone: 4–7–1–8. That’s easy enough, but Principal Potato’s room has a puzzle of its own.
Behind Potato’s chair you’ll see a small safe. The code to that safe is found on his computer and in the hallway:
- Look on Potato’s computer to see an opened email. It talks of 3 students with the highest GPAs. That’s your first hint.
- Go outside Potato’s room and check out the plaques on the wall opposite his room.
- Write down (or type into the chat box) the GPA of Coffey, Sosa, and Plaston, in that order.
You’ll end up with nine numbers altogether. When combined, you have the passcode for the safe behind Potato’s chair. In return, you’ll have a portion of Samantha’s schedule, which you need to complete the next puzzle.
Samantha’s Schedule Solution
Knowing Samantha’s schedule will help you access Room 125 in Roblox Terminal Escape Room: Detention. In one of the blue lockers, along the wall of Room 124, you’ll find a note written by Samantha. Her note reveals small tidbits on the rest of her schedule:
- Anita has math class an hour after Samantha.
- Anita and Samantha have a class together at 1 PM.
- Samantha has physics class with Mrs. Anderson.
Now opposite of Room 125, you’ll find a board and a flier called “The Votes Are In!” which labels every class with a specific color. Next to Room 125 is a series of buttons, and if you interact with them, they’ll change color.
Using the schedule from Potato’s room and the letter to Anita, you can deduce Samantha’s schedule in this order:
- History (Blue)
- Chemistry (Green)
- Math (Red)
- Physics (Purple)
- English (Yellow)
- Art (Pink)
If you’re colorblind, don’t worry! The colors will be labeled along the bottom. Once you gain access to Room 125, you have one final puzzle.
Oil Puzzle Solution in Roblox Terminal Escape Room Detention
The last and final puzzle in Roblox Terminal Escape Room: Detention is the oil puzzle. Completing it will give you access to the roof, where you’ll make your escape. To do this, use the three oil drums nearby, like so:
- From the largest drum, fill the middle drum.
- From the middle drum, fill the smallest drum.
- From the smallest drum, fill the largest drum.
- From the middle drum, fill the smallest drum.
- From the largest drum, fill the middle drum.
- From the middle drum, fill the smallest drum.
The middle drum will now have exactly four gallons of oil. If you read the note on the water purification machine, you need exactly four gallons to fill the machine—no more, no less. Take the middle drum of oil, interact with the water purification machine and make your escape.
