Rod Stewart helped some people have a great start to the New Year following his stay at the swanky 5-star Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. The legendary singer and his wife Penny Lancaster and their two sons Alistair and Liam enjoyed a family holiday stay so much that the singer wanted to show his appreciation to the staff in a big way.
Rod Stewart Gives Back in the Biggest Ways
“Maggie May” hitmaker Rod Stewart has been very generous over the holidays. In the past, the singer was often teasingly mocked for being quite a tightwad with his money. However, upon checking out of the Gleneagles Hotel, Rod left the staff a token of appreciation. That gratuity added up to $13,000.
The hotel staff was shocked and appreciative of Rod Stewart’s generous gratuity Page Six writes. Before leaving the hotel, the singer laughingly gave the staff some financial advice on spending money.
“I advised the boys and girls at Gleneagles to invest the money wisely…and suggested they “stick the lot on Scotland to win the Euros.”
Spreading Good Cheer
According to the Daily Record publication, Rod Stewart, the father of eight, is becoming known for his generosity, especially during the holidays. Last year, the entertainer stopped by an Essex hospital and paid for patients to have scans to help cut out waiting lists.
The crooner also gifted a $ 5,000 check to a student nurse who had contracted COVID-19. The nurse was going through some rough times after spending 22 days on a ventilator. Natasha Jenkins was overwhelmed by Rod Stewart’s kind heart and generosity.
Sir Rod Stewart also helped a family escape the war in Ukraine with a safe shelter in a townhouse. He also promised to pay their rent and bills for an entire year while they got on their feet. It is always good to hear when someone finds it in their hearts to help others in need. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way in today’s world.
