Some people do and say things that would leave one wondering if everything was going well with them. One such incident was a grandpa going on a racist tirade outside a building in Atlanta, Georgia, shouting and cussing while everyone else just stared at him.
A clip of the grandpa’s actions was posted on X, showing his unruly behaviour to the world. “I’m going to kick the [expletive] out of you,” he bellowed, walking away after someone had instructed him to leave. “Yeah, take a shot [expletive],” the racist screamed, when a security guard stood between him and the woman who had told him to get out.
He immediately turned his aggression on the guard. “Yeah, I’m a [expletive] citizen, you fat [expletive] head. You’re a [expletive],” he shouted, still walking away. “I said, you’re a [expletive] [expletive]!” he stopped to say, and then continued to walk away. Those standing outside the building were stunned by the outburst and the racial slurs. “Oh, hell no. I’m sorry,” someone behind the camera apologized. After the grandpa had put some distance between himself and the guard, he shouted, “What are you going to do? It’s free speech! You fat ugly [expletive] head” before walking away.
Netizens spilled their thoughts on the disgusting scene. “Notice how he’s talking all that [expletive] while walking away?” someone wrote in the comments, “He didn’t really want him to ‘take a shot’ fr. He knew not to say anything in that man’s face and kept his distance. Angry, racist, roid rage grandpa thinks he’s tough [expletive]. He clearly hasn’t ever been punched in the face.”
One user joked, “A wise man once told me… ‘When the veins start popping, the N words dropping 😂.’” Another added, “Look at him. You always know how tough a person is when they get louder and more inflammatory as they retreat. Dude had on [expletive] child gloves and a puffer vest. He couldn’t even navigate himself out of a hedge fund.” One user jested, “Every right-wing boomer thinks they can fight lol; this dude looks like he’s about to fall over just walking around.”
Referencing the grandpa’s defence of free speech, a netizen penned, “Free speech till you lose everything going viral on Reddit/ IG.” Another user wrote, “This is quite literally the beauty of freedom of speech. Free to be a bigot, but also free to face the repercussions of what you say. I’d expect his life isn’t going to go super well when this gets more eyes.” However, someone else said, “He’ll lose his job, then be invited to speak at the Republican National Convention.”
One user highlighted bigger issues, “Calling himself a citizen while implying the security guard isn’t a citizen should let everyone know these people believe all minorities should eventually be deported out of the US. MAGA minorities need to wake the [expletive] up, because they’re next if we keep going how we’re going.”
A netizen pointed out the irony, “You’d think if you hated Black people as much as this guy, you would move out of Atlanta.” A last one wrote, “It’s highly embarrassing how close to the surface the racism is in America. I don’t know what he’s mad at, but he could have used any number of offensive insults at his disposal. This is the kind of person we should be deporting.”
People going on racist tirades and not being bold enough to confront their targets head-on is plain cowardice, just like this case in Texas.
