Comedian Roseanne Barr won’t be invited back to any more parties at Mar-a-Lago. The comedian, who attended a fundraiser hosted by Arizona Senate Kari Lake at Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida, went on a drunken tirade about how Democrats drink “baby blood.” Barr served as a “special guest comedian” for the event, but we can’t see Trump nor Lake requesting her services again in the future.
The video, published to Instagram by Old Row Official, first made the rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter. In it, Barr encouraged American college students to drop out of school.
Barr Encouraged College Students To Drop Out
“So I’m just going to say to you, please drop out of college, because it’s going to ruin your lives,” Barr said with a slur in her voice and a glass of white wine in her hands. “Do me a favor, drop out, they don’t teach you nothing good, uh, email me or Twitter me or whatever you call me, and I’ll help you with your life, but you gotta get out of college, because it isn’t nothing but a bunch of devil-worshipping, baby blood-drinking, Democrat donors.”
Barr’s remarks have stirred up controversy concerning her influence on college students, even if the suggestion was intended to be rhetorical.
Social Media Didn’t Take Too Kindly To Barr’s Rant
“Anyone voluntarily listening to Roseanne Barr, needs their head examined,” one X user wrote.
“Roseanne Barr has always been complicated and problematic, but I just saw a clip of her at Mar-a-lago dressed up like all those Trump superfan ladies, babbling about QAnon bullshit, and it just makes me really sad. She and her show were so important to me in my 20s,” another said.
Even the director of UVA’s Center for Politics and author of The Kennedy Half Century, Larry Sabato, had something to say about Roseanne Barr: “My advice for college students: Listen carefully to Roseanne Barr, and then do exactly the opposite in every respect.”
Despite Barr’s impromptu complaining, the fundraiser seemed to be a roaring success for Lake, who seems to be a shoo-in frontrunner candidate for the 2024 United States Senate election in Arizona.
Lake proudly announced on X that her fundraiser had earned a record-shattering $1 million, so she doesn’t seem all to concerned with how Barr is acting these days.
