Being hungry is a pretty awful feeling. Some people even lose their cool when their stomachs start growling too much. If you ever want to find a place filled with both hungry and angry people, just take a trip to your local McDonald’s. You might just witness someone’s patience running out over a delayed order. And if you’re unlucky, you could even stumble upon a full-blown tantrum aimed at the poor employees behind the counter. One such incident recently occurred in San Jose, California. A viral video showed an angry woman cursing and screaming at McDonald’s workers, demanding her order. The staff, seemingly used to this kind of verbal abuse, just kept working silently, doing their best to ignore her. The person filming the scene said they decided to record it just in case, but the angry customer quickly noticed she was being filmed.

That’s when things really escalated. The San Jose woman snapped, yelling at the person recording her, and even tossed a pile of straws sitting on the McDonald’s counter. But she didn’t stop there. As if her tantrum hadn’t gone far enough, she grabbed another customer’s order that had been placed on the counter and slammed it onto the floor. Maybe it finally dawned on her that she had gone too far, because shortly after that, she stormed out of the restaurant.

Once the video hit social media, it didn’t take long for people online to react. Many viewers expressed secondhand embarrassment, calling her behavior childish and completely inappropriate for an adult. “I never understood how someone could be so livid about a fast food order,” one user commented. “If they get it wrong, I might be annoyed, but I’m not about to start screaming like a maniac. Some people have the emotional control of a 4-year-old.”

“She’s a little McMad right now,” one Redditor joked. Others pointed out how ridiculous it was for her to get angry about being recorded in public, especially while making such a scene at a McDonald’s. “You don’t want to be recorded in public? Then don’t give people a reason to record you. Temper tantrums = getting recorded,” one commenter wrote.

Some also reminded her, and everyone else, that being filmed in public spaces is nothing new. “It’s 2025. Do people not realize that if you’re in public, there’s a 99.9% chance you’re being recorded? And if you act like an ass in public, that chance goes up to 100%,” another Redditor added.
