Kenya Kilolo Stone will take center stage for the inaugural TLC series Seeking Brother Husband. Fans watched Kody Brown take control of his polygamous family on TLC’s popular series Sister Wives for several years. However, the show took a new dimension last season after Kody was divorced by three of his four wives. With the feature of the series hanging in the balance, TLC decided to flip the script entirely.
The network announced a new series titled Seeking Brother Husband, focusing on polyandry — when a woman takes more than one husband at a time. Although Seeking Brother Husband and Sister Wives are similar based on the premise they are built upon, there are still some differences.
One of the significant differences between the two shows is that unlike Sister Wives, which featured one family, Seeking Brother Husband will feature four couples. More importantly, this series will see the women fully in control and explore the double standards in plural marriages. The show debuted on March 26, and fans met the four couples at different stages of their polyandry relationship. One of the show’s stars who has caught the eye is Kenya Kilolo Stone. Who Is Kenya Kilolo Stone?
48-year-old businesswoman Kenya Kilolo Stone is featured on the show alongside her two husbands — Carl Stevens, 52, and Tiger Moonstone, 40. Although the trio has been together for a decade, things didn’t start up that way. Kenya and Carl were first married and have been together for 26 years with three kids and a beautiful home to show for it. Additionally, the two are both Houston-based entrepreneurs and book authors.
However, the dynamics of their marriage changed 12 years into it when Carl admitted he had feelings for a coworker. Instead of getting upset, Kenya suggested the trio go on a date together. Thus began their foray into the world of plural marriage, with Kenya marrying Tiger ten years ago. While Carl and Tiger are allowed to date other women, Kenya is the only one with live-in partners she considers as spouses.
Kenya Kilolo Stone Seeking New Brother Husband
Ahead of the season opener, Kenya and her husbands, Carl and Tiger, sat down with ET for an interview. During the interview, the trio talked about their peculiar family dynamics and how they have been able to live together for over a decade. Carl and Tiger also talked up their unique partnership; from all indications, they have a strong bond. However, the serenity the “throuple” have enjoyed looks set to be tested with Kenya wanting to add another sister husband.
Kenya admitted during the interview that she is still dating other men and will always date because it’s fun. She also claimed it is hard to explain the situation because it isn’t rocket science. However, TLC’s press release about the “throuple” hints at what to expect in season 1 of Seeking Brother Husband. It read in part:
“However, it’s been 10 years, and Kenya is seeking even more thrill, adventure, and attention. Will she find a third brother husband, and how will Carl and Tiger feel about another addition to the family?”
The trailer for the season already teased a lot of drama. Still, viewers can expect Kenya to be at the center alongside her husbands, Carl and Tiger. However, fans will have to wait to find out if a third brother-husband will join the family this season.
