Selena Gomez is back in the news as she models another stylish outfit. The 32-year-old billionaire is currently in the U.K. promoting her new Emilia Perez movie, but headlines have equally centered around her shape.
Earlier this month, The Daily Mail referred to Selena’s figure as “shrinking,” and it looks like fans think she’s continued to lose weight. On Saturday, the pop singer showed off an understated maxi dress and heels look, one donned for the BFI Film Festival premiere of her new flick. Fans noted Selena’s conservative outfit, and one couldn’t help but comment on how “slimming” it was. In January 2024, the Texas-born star made headlines for addressing her weight gain amid her autoimmune Lupus condition, then going on to celebrate her curvier self. By the looks of it, though, Selena is getting thinner.
Selena Gomez Stuns In Slinky Dress Amid Weight Loss
Modeling a black maxi dress with layered, frilly tulle below the knee, Selena concealed her curves in a long-sleeved, floaty number shouting out understated elegance.
Teaming her dress with a chic black blazer complete with a visible patch label, the “Love On” hitmaker hinted at her recent weight loss, also showing off her second look of the night. Gomez, who had made headlines for her show-stopping red ballgown as she arrived at the London event, appeared more in the mood to tone things down here, but fans still commented.
Giving a nod to her status as a beauty mogul, Selena completed her look with her worn-down locks, adding matte foundation, a rosy lip, and plenty of pink cheek blush.
Told She’s Picking ‘Slimming Outfits’
Trying not to bash Selena, one fan replied: “I don’t really like Selena’s outfit but it’s certainly very slimming and her hair and makeup are beautiful.” The comment gained over 35 upvotes.
While another ignored the outfit completely and called Gomez “so pretty,” a third admitted they weren’t digging it. “Her dress is completely the wrong length,” they said.
Selena’s big night was also attended by costar Zoe Saldana. Everyone’s eyes are on Selena, though. The actress, who had revealed that the medication she takes to manage her Lupus can make her weight fluctuate, spent most of 2024 making “curvy girl” headlines, but with her recent slim-down, some have even speculated that she’s been taking weight loss drug Ozempic.
Thinking that Selena actually looked more puffy, a fan seeing this weekend’s photos asked: “What on earth has she done to her face? Now that she is not bloated you clearly see that she has had a ton of plastic surgery.”
Selena has never admitted to any cosmetic surgery.
