Selena Gomez received very mixed feedback as she braved one of her most daring looks to date for a Paris outing back in 2016. The singer, 31, turned heads as she stepped out in a plunging slit dress, one channeling coat-only vibes and teamed with a pair of high heels.
Turning heads in the number deemed “extreme” by The Daily Mail, Selena even wound up with her nether regions pixelated, with some photos appearing to show her suffering a wardrobe malfunction. When users reacted, they sent the Texas-born singer love, but many also pitied her for a look they felt was cheapening her.

Photographed leaving her hotel after appearances at Paris Fashion Week, Selena kept stylish in a racy, low-cut dress with a slinky long skirt.
Flashing her assets as she also appeared to have ditched her undies down below, the former Disney star kept classy with lapel accents on her blazer, one feeding into a waist-cinched skirt with a leggy thigh slit.
Carrying a monogrammed Louis Vuitton purse and wearing glam shades, Selena nailed her Hollywood bombshell vibe, one she completed with her locks worn down, plus a full face of makeup. The ex to Justin Bieber shot the cameras a few smiles, but she mostly kept her gaze down.

Comments quickly piled up. “She looks stunning here. Maybe if it wasn’t as revealing in the crotch area it would be a nice dress too,” one fan said, gaining over 1,000 likes.
Appearing to pity the Only Murders in the Building star, another said:
“She is a pretty girl. Sorry but she really still has such a “baby-face” she looks like a child playing “grown-up”….she looks much better in later pic without all the make-up. She’s trying to hard.”
Plenty more similar comments came in, with users largely appearing shocked that Selena had braved such a bold look. The star has since made headlines for a rising status as a fashion icon, with much of 2024 seeing her style dominating the news. In May, Selena wowed in a series of designer outfits at the Cannes Film Festival, with the Fourth of July seeing her $99 bathing suit sell out instantly.
Elsewhere, Selena remains in the news for her blossoming romance with boyfriend Benny Blanco. The star recently shouted out the 36-year-old on Instagram, sharing cuddly photos of herself and the producer as she wrote: “Thank you for sharing your life with me today and everyday .”
