If you guys were able to attend San Diego Comic-Con, then you might have noticed the heavy marketing featuring Shadow of the Tomb Raider. While there was a lot of promotion going on, there was not anything new that the public was not aware of before. In fact, the E3 demo made a reappearance for SDCC attendees to get their hands on it, albeit a bit shorter.

However, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s promotion continues post-San Diego Comic Con. The official Tomb Raider channel has recently made available a 9-minute walkthrough video showcasing the immersive hub world that fans will be able to explore once the game comes out. In this new video, Lara traverses the city of Paititi. Its villagers talking their native language as the player explores a civilization untouched by modern culture.

Immersion goes beyond walking among NPCs. The game introduces a barter system which will allow Lara to interact with the fellow villagers. By talking to NPC you will also be able to uncover new challenge tombs. This new gameplay features a more experienced Lara as she follows the trail to the hidden tomb. Little touches such as Lara’s graceful dive into the water as well as the ability to be underwater for a much longer period of time, lets us see our heroine has been training and preparing herself extensively since the last game.

Check out the gameplay below!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third installment for the Survivor trilogy that began in 2013. This game will feature Lara Croft trying to stop Trinity, while at the same time an impending apocalypse. As seen from previous trailers as well as this one, Lara’s journey will take a departure from the snowy mountains of Siberia and into the dangerous jungles of South America. Shadow of The Tomb Raider is available to pre-order for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A release date has been set for September 14 of this year.
