A man in Florida is currently going viral after he allegedly threatened to shut off the power at a Taco Bell location and was later said to have followed through.
A video showed the man inside a Taco Bell branch appearing shirtless and wearing a kilt. It was reported that restaurant staff told him he could not remain inside because he was not wearing a shirt. When he refused to leave immediately, some customers also began objecting to his presence in the restaurant.
In the video, the man claimed he was an electrician and then threatened to go outside and shut down the restaurant’s power. Customers challenged him, believing he couldn’t do it, while one customer also defended the restaurant staff. As the situation escalated and people told him to leave, the man eventually exited the restaurant, slamming the door on his way out.
A few minutes after the man left, a customer inside the restaurant continued filming. Shortly after the man left the restaurant, the power inside the location appeared to go out. While some viewers speculated that he may have been responsible because of his earlier threat, no evidence presented in the video confirms what caused the outage.
Viewers React Following Video of Florida Electrician
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were surprised by the sudden loss of power after the Florida man left the Taco Bell restaurant, with some describing the situation as unnecessary and avoidable. Online reactions were divided, with some commenters expressing frustration about the incident. “Florida is filled with rednecks and hillbillies! People aren’t right in the head down there,” one person wrote. Another criticized the man’s behavior, saying, “Why does everyone think this dirty [expletive] in a kilt was in the right? Wear a shirt or get the [expletive] out of the restaurant.”
Others were skeptical that the man was actually responsible for the power outage, suggesting there may have been another explanation. “Do they have him recorded actually doing something? It was a storm. Power could’ve cut out right there by divine intervention lol,” one person wrote. Another commenter was more critical of his behavior, saying, “What a [expletive] idiot. Put a shirt on and get over yourself. Even when I thought I was sexy I would wear a shirt in restaurants or stores. Now I’m at a beach and people ask me to put on a shirt. I hope he gets arrested for his stunt.”
The video sparked conversation online about appropriate behavior and dress codes in public establishments, as well as the importance of respecting staff instructions. It also led to broader discussion about how individuals should respond calmly when asked to leave a venue, rather than escalating situations or seeking retaliation.
