The freshest news is hot off the press, with Sizzle Season dropping very soon! The Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season drops a load of summer updates on us, from a new song to an entirely new stage to splat your friends (or foes) in. With the Splatfest announcement for Power’s win right on our heels and the latest season coming to a close, it’s about time for some fresh content to get us rolling into summer. What does the wide squid (and octo) world have planned for us to beat the heat? The Squid Research Lab Investigative Video Team has the answers, as per their announcement from the official Splatoon North America Twitter.
Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season Drops New Content
SRL Investigative Video Team here. We've obtained what seems to be some sort of trailer for "Sizzle Season." Musicology can't stop raving about the music, and Ballistics is going bananas over some of the things they've seen, so it's definitely worth checking out. What do YOU see? pic.twitter.com/l8uUnyBTO6

We got tons of new content in this update! First to start us off is the two new weapons we can hold: the Paintbrush and the S-Blast ’92. These weapons seem to be able to hit from a decent distance away, making them formidable foes in anyone’s hands. After all, I doubt the name Paintbrush is just for show. As for Specials and Sub-Weapons for these two, we don’t have a clue. But you can see them in action as much as you desire in the trailer above. The trailer bops with a showcase for one of the new songs that come with the Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season: Ska Blam! by Yoko and the Gold Bazookas.
The rest of the Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season trailer showcases a few new stages. One of which is Barnacle and Dime, which looks to be a super mall. Out of the way, Mako Mart, you now have competition. Another new stage joining the rotation is Jammin Salmon Junction, a square-looking stage where you can go slammin’ some salmon. A well-sought-after stage is also making a return: Humpback Pump Track from Splatoon 2. With new emotes, clothes, and other items in the Sizzle Season catalog, the old stage will transition freshly into the new starting next month.
The final announcement that no doubt took everyone by surprise is the emergence of Challenges into the mix. These Challenges feature changes to the game, both in Anarchy and Turf War Battles. We have Too Many Trizookas, where everyone seems to have a Trizooka with unlimited shots. They also showed off Foggy Notion, where the stage is covered in fog, and Extreme Jump Battle, where you get a huge spring under your step with every jump. All these updates and more will come to the game on 6/1.
