Five years after the game’s original launch of the game Bethesda is reinvigorating the visuals of Skyrim for a new console generation. The update is titled The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. The enhanced visuals include remastered art and effects, volumetric lighting, dynamic depth of field, and more, all of which are covered in the trailer for the special edition below. The remastered version will also include all the games downloadable content as well as support mods for PS4 and Xbox One.
Long rumored and extremely desired, the game is confirmed for an October 28th release date. The fall seems like a great time to revisit one of the best games of the decade.
