Snoop Dogg has a not-so-secret-anymore kind of phobia— Horses! In the latest episode of Snoop Dogg’s Double G News, the rapper went candid about this animal phobia during a sit down with actress Tiffany Haddish. The world has seen the icon partake in several daring feats, from getting in the ring on Wrestlemania to smoking a blunt in front of the White House. Hence, no one would have guessed the rap lord, who owns one of the most impressive car collections, can hardly stand the most conservative means of transportation.
Snoop Dogg Admits His Secret Fear of Horses

In the latest episode of his YouTube news network series, the Young, Wild, and Free rapper opened up about his fear of horses. Speaking to Tiffany Haddish in the September 12 episode of Double G News, Snoop Dogg shocked the actress with the revelation of his horse phobia, saying,
“I’m scared of horses.”
His declaration came after Tiffany voiced her childhood dreams of someday raising horses on a farm. A stunned Tiffany then interjected, “What! As big as you are?” Not minding Tiffany Haddish’s expression, Snoop Dogg further stressed his fear of horses, admitting it continues to date. Going further, the 51-year-old cited this phobia as the reason he has never filmed a scene involving horses throughout his long career. He divulged,
“So serious. You ain’t never seen me in a scene with a horse. I’ve been in a scene with ostriches, iguanas, all kinds of sh—t,” Snoop explained. “Ain’t never been in a scene with a horse, like, get that motherf—ker away from me.”
Why the Rapper is Scared of Riding
As for the reason behind the previously undisclosed equinophobia, Snoop admitted he had no idea. Tiffany tried to make sense of the situation by suggesting possible past trauma that may have triggered his equinophobia. However, Snoop Dogg did not buy her suggestion that he fell off a horse in a past life. Nonetheless, he offered a wild theory of his own, referencing the infamous headless horseman tormenting villagers in popular folklore. He quipped,
“I think I may have been the Headless Horseman [in my past life].”
Snoop Dogg’s fear of horses has not stopped him from indulging his wife Shante Broadus, who is a horse lover herself. In fact, he recalled how Shante once kept a horse in their home for three years. During those years, he never interacted with the horse, but simply observed from a distance. Admittedly, the icon is open to having someone show him the ropes someday, and perhaps help him overcome that fear — Just not with an adult horse.
