Sofia Vergara, 51, has said she’s had an “interesting year” ever since divorcing Joe Manganiello. The Modern Family alum filed for divorce back in July, with the official announcement coming as Vergara was on an Italian vacation for her birthday. The couple was married for seven years prior to their amicable split. In the months following their divorce, Vergara has said that her life has undergone “a lot of changes,” both good and bad.
Sofia Vergara Enters A New Chapter Post-Divorce
The divorce between America’s Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara and Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello was made public on July 18th, 2023, with the couple releasing a statement that they had “made the difficult decision to divorce…as two people that love and care for one another very much”.
At the time of their divorce, sources close to the couple reported that they had been “living separate lives,” which was backed up by the fact that Vergara celebrated her 51st birthday while on vacation in Italy without her husband. Manganiello would officially file for divorce two days after the initial statement was made.
Now, two months after her divorce, Sofia Vergara has had some time to reflect on her life, stating that she’s had “an interesting year” with a lot of ups and downs. Still, she’s optimistic that there’s “always time for more good stuff coming,” according to the star herself in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Sofia VergaraSpeaking of what’s next, Sofia Vergara’s latest project is the fifth live qualifying round of America’s Got Talent Season 18, where she and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum are slowly whittling down the season’s eleven remaining acts. This marks Vergara’s fourth season as an AGT judge after joining the show in 2020.
