There have been rumors of some big changes coming to Dancing With the Stars for a while now. Fans of the show have been waiting feverishly to see it, but nothing was announced officially. Yet. Now the news is in, and it seems fans of the show are going to be really happy with the changes. Or in the modern era of hating all things, maybe it will just trigger the masses to stop watching. It is a weird time to be alive.
The first change that has long-time fans chomping at the bit is that the show’s old producer is returning. Conrad Green produced Dancing With the Stars when it first debuted a whopping seventeen years ago on ABC. A lot of diehards think Green’s run on the show was some of its best work. So to have him come back rekindles a lot of hype as if the show needs any more.
A Whole New World
Green returning is one of the big changes coming to Dancing With the Stars. But the next change you may have heard about. DWTS is making a move from ABC to modern TV juggernaut Disney+. Seeing the unstoppable entertainment factory that is Disney grab the reigns, the show is only set to get bigger and better.
It should also be pointed out that this will be the first live Disney+ series, which is a pretty monumental step. Kareem Daniel, who is the head of entertainment at Disney+ adds:
“The show’s broad appeal, as well as the overwhelming popularity of its Disney-themed competition nights, make Disney+ the perfect home for Dancing With the Stars while continuing to expand our demographic reach.”
With Disney+ and DWTS teaming up, we are sure this iconic show is only set to blaze even more trails when it officially returns.
