On Friday, a spokesperson for Vogue confirmed to Page Six that the media house or its editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, may cut ties with Kanye West soon. It’s due to the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments and support for the White Lives Matter objective.
Wintour and Kanye have had an age-long business relationship. Their friendship kicked off in 2009 when she invited him to the Met Gala. Then she featured the fashion mogul and his SKIMS founder ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, on the magazine’s cover in 2014.
Recently, the 72-year-old editor helped the award-winning rapper model his new sunglasses line for promotional activities. News of Vogue set to cut ties with Kanye West is surprising as the media house supported his reconciliation with Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.
Ye mocked Gabriella’s fashion sense because she called him out for his White Lives Matter shirt in Paris.

It’s becoming too much controversy surrounding the rapper, and it doesn’t seem he’ll be backing down anytime soon. After Wintour sent her longtime close pal, Baz Luhrmann, to film the reconciliation between Kanye West and the editor, sources told Page Six that Vogue cut ties with him internally.
The decision by the fashion royal was made following the 45-year-old Donda hitmaker’s stunning threats against Jewish people. It got worse after he refused to apologize but instead seized the opportunity to double down on them.
The insider made it clear that Anna Wintour has had enough, and Vogue has internally cut ties with Kanye West. According to the source:
“She has made it very clear inside Vogue that Kanye is no longer part of the inner circle.”
People are yet to grasp what it really means for the rapper to no longer be a part of the inner circle. It’s unsure if it means that Vogue’s website won’t carry his images or if his Met Gala access will be revoked.
But it’s given that things may not remain the same between the rapper and the magazine, just like others.
This isn’t Ye’s first important relationship to be severed. Very recently, Balenciaga dropped a statement on Friday ending their relationship with the controversial music star.
