A South Carolina woman claims she “just had to call the cops” while she was at work. The problem: A man attempted to pick up a refill for his wife. She stated she didn’t think anything of it until one of her techs working went, “Wait, I’m pretty sure she’s deceased.” Her story has led to mixed reactions in the comments, with some supporting her and others defending the man’s actions.
The woman allegedly verified the information. She and her staff double-checked the woman’s date of birth, name, and obituary. The latter of which listed her husband as a surviving family member. She called the man back and told him, “We have a note in here that says she’s deceased.” But what surprised her the most was that the man allegedly asked if his wife could come pick up the prescription with her I.D. The woman states, “It grossed me out, truly.” Furthermore, she describes this as “such a disgusting thing to do.”
Turns out this wasn’t the first time he had allegedly done this. The South Carolina woman shares, “He had picked up two different controlled substances for his deceased wife since she passed away.” She explains the reason it grosses her out is that she couldn’t imagine losing a spouse and all she’d be thinking about is the refills on their medications. She states, “I did what I felt like was morally correct, and I reported it.” Her video has over 892,000 views, over 61,000 likes, and over 1,000 comments.
