Mirror’s Edge released in 2008 and showcased a magnificent parkour system for its protagonist Faith to run, jump, and climb through. June of this year saw a reboot of the title, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, on current-generation platforms except for Wii U. It didn’t take long – hardly any time at all, in fact – for gamers to start breaking it, which ought to surprise absolutely no one. The current world record is held by Caseo at one hour and 26 minutes not counting loads. The video below captures an earlier run by Caseo at just under an hour and a half. Stay tuned afterwards for a tutorial on running the game yourself.

This is an any% run of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which takes advantage of glitches. An all missions run bumps the play time up to about two hours while an NG+ any% reduces it to under an hour. Coincidentally, Caseo also holds the record for the NG+ time, though the all missions gold trophy belongs to MatchboxMatt by about two-and-a-half minutes. But while this video may not be the quickest run, it’s one of the most incredible to watch.
Now for the tutorials.
