Ubisoft has released a story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws and has also finally confirmed the release date of the game which is a lot closer than expected. Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, 2024, unless there are any delays.
The trailer shows some of the crime lords including Sliro, Zerek Besh, Pykes, Crimson Dawn, and Hutts. The game takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and according to Sliro, it is the golden age for the underworld.
Star Wars Outlaws Story Trailer Details & Release Date
Players will fill the shoes of Kay Vess, who has been seen before in other trailers, and Sliro will be the main antagonist of the story, at least for now. The story starts with Key Vess trying to scrape together enough money to get Sliro off her tail.
We get glimpses of some familiar faces from the movies like Jabba the Hutt, Death Troopers, AT-ST, and several races and species that we’ve seen before. Vess will not be alone in her mission to buy her freedom, as she will be joined by a diverse cast who will aid her in her journey.
Being an open-world game, you will be spending a lot of your time on Tatooine, but you will also be able to travel to other planets like Kijimi, Akiva, Toshara, and more. All of these planets will have sizable open worlds that you can explore on your speeder, which is a first for any Star Wars game.
Since this game focuses on the crime and underworld side of the galaxy far far away, you won’t see any Jedi, Sith, or anyone using the force, at least in the trailer. No Star Wars property is complete without the sound of a lightsaber cutting through the air, so it’s likely that we will see at least a few characters that will use the force.
Star Wars Outlaws will come out on August 30, 2024, on PlayStation 5,
