Pale Ale in Stardew Valley
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Few experiences are more refreshing than a chilled glass bottle of Pale Ale after a hard day’s work on your farmstead inย Stardew Valley. However, before one can enjoy such an occasion, there are a few prerequisites that are in order. First, you will need a Keg, a type of Artisan Equipment that can be obtained once you have unlocked its crafting recipe upon reaching Farming Level 8. This achievement can be accomplished by progressing through your playthrough and eventually attaining Level 8. Alternatively, you can expedite the process by discovering which crops provide the most XP per season, such as Garlic during Spring or Cranberries during Fall.ย

Brewing Pale Ale in Stardew Valley

Process for Brewing Hops into Pale Ale in Stardew Valley

Once you have unlocked the recipe for theย Keg inย Stardew Valley, you will need the materials to craft the Artisan Equipment before you can start brewing yourself some Pale Ale. These materials include Wood ร— 30, Copper Bar ร— 1, Iron Bar ร— 1, and Oak Resin ร—1.

Wood can be gathered in abundance from trees inside and outside your farmstead. Copper and Iron Ore are acquired from The Mines, and you can smelt them into bars using a Furnace fueled with Coal. Oak Resin is procured from Oak Trees using a Tapper, a device you will unlock the recipe for after hitting Foraging Level 3. Once you have sufficient materials, you can place your Keg indoors or outdoors, as location does not affect fermentation. The next step is obtaining the primary ingredient for Pale Ale inย Stardew Valley, Hops.ย

You will need Hops Starters to grow Hops on your farm during the Summer. These Seed-type items can be purchased at Pierre’s General Store or JojaMart. The Traveling Cart andย Night Market inย Stardew Valleyย are additional sources of Hops Starters. After planting and tending to your starters for 11 days, they will produce Hops, which can then be placed into your Keg. According to theย Stardew Valley Wiki, a Keg will take one to two in-game days to brew the Hops into Pale Ale. Once the fermentation has been completed, you can drink your fresh ale, give it to a Pelican Town Villager, or sell it for a decent profit.
