One of the available marriage candidates in Stardew Valley is Leah, an artist who lives in a cottage just south of your farm. If you’re looking to romance or just get to know this cool bohemian woman, you’ll want to give her some gifts that she either likes or loves.
Luckily, Leah has quite a few loved gifts, meaning you should be able to find one of them easily. Giving her a loved gift grants you 80 friendship points together, or a nice 640 points on her birthday, which is Winter 23.
Aside from the universally-loved gifts in the game, Leah loves the following things: goat cheese, Salad, Poppyseed Muffins, Stir Fry, Vegetable Medley, truffles, and wine of any type.
Our Other Stardew Valley Guides
To make the cooked dishes that Leah loves, you’ll need a few ingredients (or you can purchase them from Gus from time to time, though he has Salad in stock every day).
To make a Poppyseed Muffin, you’ll need a poppy, some wheat flour, and some sugar. Salad requires a leek, a dandelion, and some vinegar. Stir Fry needs a Cave Carrot, a common mushroom, some kale, and some oil. Finally, to make Vegetable Medly, you’ll just need a tomato and a beet.
Characters in Stardew Valley have gifts that they don’t quite love, but they do like, netting you 45 friendship points. These gifts are typically easier to find. Leah’s are especially easy to find, considering she likes many of the game’s forageables.
Leah is happy to receive the following foraged items: blackberries, chanterelles, common mushrooms, daffodils, dandelions, ginger, hazelnuts, holly, leeks, Magma Caps, morels, purple mushrooms, salmonberries, snow yams, spring onions, wild horseradish, and winter roots.
Leah also likes driftwood, all fruits, all eggs (except for Void Eggs), and all types of milk.
Universal Gifts in Stardew Valley
There are a handful of universally-loved gifts in Stardew Valley, which almost every character is extremely happy to receive, including Leah. She is no exception to the list of universal loves, which includes the following: the Golden Pumpkin, Prismatic Shards, pearls, rabbit’s feet, and Magic Rock Candy.
There are some universally-liked gifts, as well. The universal likes list includes maple syrup, Life Elixir, and most of the items in the following categories: artisan goods, cooking, flowers, foraged minerals, fruit tree fruits, vegetables, and gems.
However, Leah poses some exceptions. She loves goat cheese, wine, and the aforementioned cooked dishes, rather than just liking them like almost everyone else. She also dislikes most gems and foraged minerals, as well as a handful of cooked dishes, some of which she also hates.
For those cooked dishes that are typically universally-liked, Leah dislikes Carp Surprise, Cookies, Ice Cream, Pink Cake, Rice Pudding, Survival Burgers, and Tortillas. She fully hates Hashbrowns, Pancakes, and Pizza.
