Obtaining the Secret Outpost! From a Spacer

While doing the first main mission, The Old Neighborhood, you will come across Nova Galactic Staryard on the moon, and you will have to fight some spacers in there. Be sure to loot all of the eliminated Spacers to find an audio log on one of them. Then, go to the inventory and listen to the log to unlock the Mantis quest in Starfield.

Going to Denebola I-B and Clearing Out Enemies in the Yard

Once you acquire the quest, go to Denebola I-B and clear the enemies outside. Since you are playing the quest at the early stage of the game, you will be at a low level and might encounter some enemies here at level 30. So, bringing some long-range weapons will come in handy for them.

Going  Inside the Layer of the Mantis and Clearing Out Enemies

When you are done, enter the layer and find enemies waiting for you inside. Clear them out, and remember to save the game manually after clearing out each room. Also, loot them since you will find some significant upgrades from them. Eventually, you will meet an NPC called Livvey. He asks you to save him, but it is optional and won’t affect the quest. Once you get past him, you will end up in a big room where you need to solve the Mantis Secret Floor puzzle in Starfield.

Completing the Mantis Secret Floor Puzzle in Starfield

You can complete the  Mantis Secret Floor puzzle mentioned above and ensure you do not step on an incorrect letter since the turret on the other side will start firing at you. These turrets are above level 40 and instantly kill you if you miss the step. So, make sure to save the game before starting the puzzle.

When you are going through this dungeon, you will hear some audio logs from a mother and a son, and at one point, the son will say the mother always says Sic Semper Tyrannis, which you get the word of the puzzle, Tyrannis.

Claiming the Reward

Once you get past the turrets, you have to get past some additional robots and turrets, and eventually, you will get to the main room, where you will face another robot. Once you eliminate it, you will be directed to the Mantis Space Suit and Spaceship. Once you claim both rewards, you have completed the mission.

However, remember that the passives of the Space suit pieces might not be the same for each player. For example, you might get 60+ carrying capacity in one run; next time, you might not get the same.
