Numerous elements from Greek Mythology have been added to Fortnite. There are now three different Olympian Gods in Fortnite, including Zeus, Ares, and Hades, as well as Cerberus, the guardian of Hades. In addition to them, Fortnite also added the Wings of Icarus and the Thunderbolt of Zeus Mythic items as well. Today, we’re going to talk about why you should avoid using the Wings of Icarus.
Why Players Should Avoid the Wings of Icarus in Fortnite?
As you can see in the Reddit post from FortniteBR, this is exactly what you risk by using the Wings of Icarus in Fortnite. The post of this thread suggests that this is due to Aim Assist, but that’s not exactly the case here. What’s actually happening here is that when players use Wings of Icarus, their Hit Boxes become much bigger than normal, causing them to hit all the bullets that whizz past them.
If you’ve ever died while flying high with these wings, this is why. I saw this Reddit post a couple of days ago, but after experiencing it for myself, I realized that using it is a huge gamble.
So I landed on the roof of the big building where Zeus is on Mount Olympus, and then I found the Harbinger SMG on the ground, which, as you know, is a close-range weapon. Then I saw the visual audio of Wings of Icarus on my screen and noticed the player flying past me. Then, the clip above came to my mind, and I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try to start shooting without even aiming.
I managed to kill the enemy in seconds, but I was still confused. If I hadn’t experienced it myself, I wouldn’t have thought it was such a major drawback, but it is. To make a long story short, stay far away from these cursed Greek gifts.
