The 2021 edition of DC FanDome, DC’s E3 of sorts across their movie, TV, and video game properties occurred recently today and brought fans plenty to be excited about. From the slew of DC Kids-related content that was announced to the new trailer for Matt Reeves’s The Batman, fans aren’t lacking in content by any stretch. If you’re like me though and are more interested in the gaming side of things though, then this announcement was sure to get your fancy. At DC FanDome 2021, Warner Bros Games unveiled a brand new story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. You can find the trailer below.

A press release describes the trailer as follows:
Debuted at DC FanDome, the brand-new story trailer sheds light on the origins of Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X (a.k.a. the Suicide Squad) as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark begrudgingly embark on their mission to take down the World’s Greatest DC Super Heroes, The Justice League. Featuring an original narrative set within an expansive open-world Metropolis, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League puts the four DC Super-Villains on a collision course with an invading alien force and DC Super Heroes who are now laser-focused on destroying the city they once vowed to protect. All the while, the squad must be mindful of the lethal explosives implanted in their heads that could go off at the first sign of defiance.”
If you ask me, that is one premise for a game. I mostly find myself enjoying gritty sci-fi stories, though the crazier storylines do catch my eye once in a while. This is one of those times, as the idea of taking on a team of superheroes while in fear of a bomb blowing up in my head is as ridiculous as it gets. And with the Suicide Squad featured as the main cast of the game, the sky’s the limit to how insane this game will be.
