As we here at the Nerd Stash have previously reported System Shock is coming back in the form of a reboot, and it looks awesome. In our short time playing the demo, which became available on PC with the launch of the game’s Kickstarter page, we were routinely terrified and shrieking. There was only one negative aspect that people could attribute to the reboot and that was the fact that the game was initially only scheduled to launch on PC and Xbox One. According to the developers, Playstation fans have made their voices heard and they will now be bringing the game to PS4 as well, during the game’s initial launch.
In the words of the Nightdive Developers:
“When we launched this Kickstarter, supporting PS4 was a possibility, but we hadn’t started talking to Sony just yet about it. We were all focused on wrapping the demo up and prepping the Kickstarter. We already had strong contacts at Microsoft from prior projects, so supporting XboxOne was less of an unknown. After we saw the overwhelming demand for PS4, we reshuffled our priorities and focused on talking to Sony about making that happen. After a few weeks and lots of emails, we are officially on track for bringing System Shock to the PS4!”

Things are looking good for the game. Their goal was to get at least 900 thousand dollars and they have already been able to reach over a million. But the Kickstarter is still seeking money and is still active so if you are interested in donating check it out here.
System Shock will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC Quarter 1, 2018.
