Taylor Swift released the video for Anti-Hero from her new album this week, but she had to take off the ‘fat’ scene after viewers found it insensitive. Some days ago, the singer-songwriter, in an Instagram post, stated that she wrote and directed the video herself.
Then she disclosed that it depicted her nightmare scenarios and intrusive thoughts in real time. After the video’s release, some fans think that the star wasn’t body positive.
In a scene from the music video, the singer got on a scale and shook her head when it showed “FAT.” Hawk-eyed fans on Wednesday noticed that Taylor Swift had gone on to edit Anti-Hero music on Apple Music. However, the version on YouTube still contains the scene.
Taylor Swift Edits and Explains Anti-Hero Music Video
Earlier this month, Taylor Swift explained the meaning behind Anti-Hero before comments made her edit the video. She revealed that the song is one of her favorite songs she has ever written.
The singer further disclosed that, unlike others, she delved deep into her insecurities in this track. According to Spotify’s most-streamed artist, she likes Anti-Hero a lot because it’s a “guided tour” of all the things she hates about herself.
The song was a part of her latest studio album titled, Midnights. It broke records and became the most-streamed album in a single day in the history of Spotify.
What was more amazing about the release of the project is that she added seven more songs to the tracklist three hours after it was first released. The album still garnered more than Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti 183 million streams.
With respect to fans who helped Taylor Swift achieve such a feat, she had to edit and take off the ‘FAT’ scene. It’s great seeing Swifties support their very own!
