Telltale’s next episodic series, Batman will release at some point this Summer. In speaking with Gamesmaster magazine (and reported on by GamesRadar), Telltale’s Job Stauffer informed us when we can expect to see Telltale’s five Dark Knight episodes.

Stauffer did not give a release date beyond “this summer,” but he did state that “we’ll have all five episodes out before the end of the year.” He later took to Twitter to clarify his statement, announcing that “having the best content is priority.” He went on to say that Telltale would not sacrifice quality for a deadline, but it does sound like Telltale wants to get the vast majority of Batman out there before 2016 comes to an end.

Most Telltale games see months between episode releases. The Walking Dead: Michonne is the only Telltale game to stick to a monthly episode release, and it was only three episodes. Still, that is basically what Telltale would need to do in order to get Batman entirely released by the end of the year, even if it were to come out tomorrow. Hopefully they can maintain the level of quality they are known for with a more hurried release schedule.

In addition to Batman, Telltale has a few other projects currently in the works. Season three of The Walking Dead is supposedly coming out this year, and season two of Game of Thrones has an unnamed release date as well. Telltale is also working on a project with Marvel, although details for it are few and far between at this point in time.

The Bruce Wayne half will play a big part in Telltale's version of events.

Batman was at E3, and the game looks like it is putting a lot of emphasis on the Bruce Wayne side of things. Jim Gordon, Carmine Falcone, Catwoman, and many other comic mainstays will make their appearance in the story as well. Stay tuned to The Nerd Stash for more on Batman, including a (hopefully soon) release date.

Excited to see Telltale’s version of The Dark Knight? Think they will be able to release all five episodes in 2016? Let us know in the comments below.
